Jackie Latendresse is an established Canadian choreographer, dance artist, and founder of Free Flow Dance Theatre, Saskatoon’s leading contemporary dance company which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this season. An alumnus of the University of Waterloo, she earned her Honours B.A. in Dance with a minor in Fine Arts before embarking on a dynamic career as an independent artist and producer.

Since 1993, Jackie has been choreographing and presenting innovative dance works across Canada. Her extensive repertoire includes 20+ full-length productions and a wide array of shorter works. Her creations have been staged in diverse venues, from traditional theatres and public parks to arenas and schools, reflecting her commitment to making dance accessible to all.

Jackie’s artistic excellence and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards, most recently including:

  • The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan) – 2022
  • YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Arts & Culture – 2021
  • Saskatoon Foundation for the Arts Artist Award – 2018

A trailblazer in the contemporary dance scene, Jackie continues to push artistic boundaries, fostering creativity and accessibility in the performing arts.
