Mâcihtawin

(ᒫᒋᐦᑕᐃᐧᐣ, begin)

Mâcihtawin (ᒫᒋᐦᑕᐃᐧᐣ, begin) with GTNT, is a FREE five day Indigenous Drama Day Camp for youth ages 12-16. Over the course of the camp, participants will explore the world of theatre through drama games, puppets, and story creation; ending with a small presentation for friends and family. Join us to begin your theatre adventure!

Participants of the Mâcihtawin program will:

  • Start Something New. Explore a new way to express your creativity in the world of theatre.
  • Learn New Skills. Collaboration, public speaking, storytelling, and creating characters are all things you can expect to learn in this program.
  • Have Fun. Play games, create stories, and make crafts with other youth.
  • Share What You Learned. Show off what you learned to your family and friends with a short performance on the last day.
