Frank Engel

Born in West Germany he studied dance, acting, and mime in Stuttgart, Paris, and Berlin.
He finished his formal education in 1989 with a degree in Dance, Acting and Mime from
“The Etage” college for the performing arts in Berlin, and has worked as a performing artist,
director/choreographer and teacher.
In 2003 he moved to Saskatoon and has worked with many productions in the theatre and dance
community as a movement coach, choreographer, teacher, and director.
Over the last 15 years, his interest shifted more toward the production side of theatre with an emphasis
on lighting and stage carpentry. He is now a member of IATSE Local 300 and the Technical Director
at La Troupe du Jour.
