Emma (bug) Eaton is a multidisciplinary artist new to Saskatoon but not to Treaty 6, having grown up in La Ronge and Prince Albert. A graduate from the University of Regina with a BA in Theatre Performance and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies, they have worked as a deviser and performer in the Calgary Animated Object Society production Mask Tales, University of Regina’s 4our, and currently an untitled production to be seen in the Tic Toc TEN festival and the Saskatoon Fringe Festival. After a disabling injury in 2021, Emma returned to the stage in the live premiere of Breaking the Curse in Regina’s 2024 Riser season. They have also had the opportunity to work as a dramaturg on two award winning plays: Breaking the Curse by Rachel Walliser and The Child You Deserve by Julia Peterson. Emma is a musician and mixed media artist that has a passion for Queer disability arts, and a love for mask and puppet making.
